So then, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 EHV
Strongholds are destroyed!
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ESV
Freedom for the captives was foretold!
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV
Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy!
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Luke 4:14-21 NIV
He has called us out of darkness!
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
The chains have been broken!
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
Psalm 107:13-16 NIV
No longer are we bound by shame!
In the past, other people shamed you and said bad things to you. You were shamed much more than any other people. So in your land you will get two times more than other people. You will get the joy that continues forever.
Isaiah 61:7 ERV
Our past is just that - the past! Break free from the old way of thinking!
For you have acquired new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you; giving you the full revelation of God.
Colossians 3:10 TPT
Determine to live as free people!
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
1 Peter 2:16 ESV
Free in His Spirit!
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV
In Christ! Live! Free! Indeed!
Prayer
Father,
Here I sit, like a bird in a cage with the door wide opened, afraid to fly.
I am surrounded by thoughts that are familiar. Thoughts that say, I am not enough. Too, stupid. Too, fat. Now, too old. Like a bird brooding, thoughts of shame, condemnation, insecurity, and neglect, are hatched. I have agreed with these thoughts for so long, they have become my truth. (What thoughts are keeping you caged?)
But God, you say differently. You have called me to freedom.
The plight of my flight is secure in Your hands. However, it is up to me to take captive these thoughts, and make them obedient to Christ.
In the authority given to me in the Name of Jesus, I take captive the thoughts that have kept me from flight. In Jesus Name, I silence all condemnation, strip all shame, gag guilt, and crush insecurity, making these thoughts obedient to Christ.
I lift my eyes to You, Lord, seeking truth. May my mind be filled with Your thoughts, and how You see me. Renew in me, Christ’s way of thinking.
With hope renewed, I believe!
In trust, I step out in faith - leaving behind what is familiar.
In faith, I flap my wings.
Confidently, choosing to soar with the Spirit, not returning to the cage of habitual thinking.
In Christ, I am set free to fly!
Free!
Free indeed!
Amen
So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
