Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NKJV
In Christ, through Christ, for Christ, we are transformed from glory to glory.
In Christ, our heart is unveiled.
Through Christ, we are transformed.
For Christ, the world is drawn to Him as we reflect the image of God.
As we pour our hearts out before the Lord, we are changed. A heartfelt metamorphosis occurs. For in His presence we are immersed within His glory, bathed in His radiance, washed by the water of the Word. Before Him, our stains are removed, washed away, purified. We are transformed, submitted at His feet. As we arise, we reflect the very image of God in a greater measure than we did before our time with Him began. The Lord Himself takes us from glory to glory with each encounter. Assuredly, He is our glory and the lifter of our head.
What a powerful promise!
Then why do we hesitate to come into the glorious presence of God?
The struggle is real. The constant demands of life prove constraining. Distractions, like a harness, pull at us in every direction. Overwhelmed, fatigue creeps in blanketing our initiative. Everyday entertainment encircles us vying for our attention. Time evades us. Family. Friends. Work. Pleasure. And the list goes on.
Temptation comes at us in many forms coupled with condemnation and self-indulgence, all in an attempt to isolate us from the very presence of God. It is a ploy of the enemy to hinder us from being transformed into God’s image. Most certainly, the deceiver does not want us to be a reflection of the Father’s glory!
May righteous indignation break forth within us at this devious attempt!
This is a call for retaliation! Your time with God is under attack! It is time to counterattack! Sever the schemes of the swindler. Take hold of what God has for you. The enemy is out to steal from you. He is out to hold your time with God prisoner. Get enraged, furious at this attempt to incarcerate the glory of God in your life! Make a stand! It is time to put the enemy under your feet, crushing the serpent!
Take back your time with the Lord!
Desire intimacy.
Pursue liberty.
Be transformed.
Reflect the image of God.
From glory to glory!
Prayer
Father,
I long to be a reflection of Your image from glory to glory. Transform me, Lord.
I shake off condemnation, and repent of all self-indulgence. I acknowledge Your mercies are new every morning, and call upon Your grace. Revive me, O God. I have allowed the temptations of life to distract me from Your presence. I choose You, Father, over everything the world has to offer. I repent for allowing the enemy to lull me into complacency. I rise up, in the authority of Jesus, and crush the head of the deceiver who is trying to rob me of my time with You. I will not be swindled any longer.
I surrender every excuse I have uttered that has kept me from our time together. I take responsibility for my choices; yet, I still acknowledge the ploy of the enemy.
In Christ, I place this devious scheme under my feet crushing the head of the serpent.
I release exposure over every attempt of the enemy to hinder my time with You. I decree, “In Your presence there is liberty!”
Through Christ, restore unto me all the thief has stolen. Fill me afresh with Your presence. Restore my zeal. Renew my passion. Place Your shield about me. Allow Your glory to be seen in me.
For Christ, make me fierce in guarding my time with You, for You are worth the fight! My heart is Yours. I choose You above all others. With great fervor, together with the Lord Most High, we will advance from glory to glory!
All glory to God!
Amen
