God's Missile Defense

TAKE ACTION!

New King James Version

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16 NKJV

The Message

Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Phillips Version

In conclusion be strong—not in yourselves but in the Lord, in the power of his boundless resource. Put on God’s complete armor so that you can successfully resist all the devil’s methods of attack. For our fight is not against any physical enemy: it is against organizations and powers that are spiritual. We are up against the unseen power that controls this dark world, and spiritual agents from the very headquarters of evil. Therefore you must wear the whole armor of God that you may be able to resist evil in its day of power, and that even when you have fought to a standstill you may still stand your ground. Take your stand then with truth as your belt, righteousness your breastplate, the Gospel of peace firmly on your feet, salvation as your helmet and in your hand the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Above all be sure you take faith as your shield, for it can quench every burning missile the enemy hurls at you. Pray at all times with every kind of spiritual prayer, keeping alert and persistent as you pray for all Christ’s men and women.

HOLD UP THE SHIELD OF FAITH!

DON'T LET IT DROP!

It takes action. Decision. Determination. Deliberate strategizing to release Divine power.

QUENCH THE FIRERY DARTS!

Most important of all, you need a covering of faith in front of you. This is to put out the fire-arrows of the devil. Ephesians 6:16 NLT

HAVE FAITH!

LAUNCH PRAYERS!

With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people. Ephesians 6:18 AMP

PULL DOWN STRONGHOLDS!

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV

Prince of Peace - step in - dispel the darkness. Maneuver miraculously! Thwart the schemes of the enemy. In Christ, no weapon formed against us shall achieve the

desired aim!

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 AMP

In the Name of Jesus, we bind the spirit behind the missiles sent our way, causing the onslaught of the attack to stop through God’s Divine intervention. We acknowledge that the battle belongs to the Lord. He is with us in the fight. Together, we occupy ground!

STAND!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV

Our prayers initiate God’s missile defense to halt the enemy’s attack. Faith echoes,

" BOOM!"

Prayer

Father,

I admit I have grown weary in the battle. My fatigue has come in to agreement with discouragement, and it has caused me to drop my shield of faith. Overwhelmed by the onslaught of the enemy, I call to You for help. Please, send those to help hold up my arms in this battle. Strengthen me, as I lift Your Name in praise.

Today, may I regain my focus in Christ. Bring to my remembrance that the battle belongs to the Lord. Reinvigorate me through the recollection of Your Truth. My God is with me! In You, I already have the victory!

Fortify me, once again, as I choose to dress myself in Your full armor.

I apply each piece of Your armor:

The Belt of Truth

The Breast Plate of Righteousness

The Gospel of Peace upon my feet

The Shield of Faith

The Helmet of Salvation

The Sword of the Spirit.

Deliberately, I reactivate, launching prayers to counter attack the missiles of the enemy. Together with Christ, my prayers will be effectual - causing an explosion in the spirit realm. Commandingly, I release God’s missile defense against the strike of the enemy, as I hold up my shield of faith!

I hear the, “Boom!” “Boom!” “Boom!” of victory!

Glory!

[ The Lord spoke the following to my heart:

“The effectiveness of our prayers will be seen one day.” ]

Lord, let today be the day!

Keep praying!

Amen

The Whole Armor of God

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6: 10 - 18 NKJV
