When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, not only do we receive the gift of eternal life, but are consequently imputed the authority of the King of kings! The delegated influence of the Father is bestowed upon each of His children. In His Name, we can stand against all the wiles of the enemy - rising up victoriously in battle.
However, at times, the adversary seems to have a better understanding of our God given identity than we do ourselves. The serpent attacks our thoughts. He slithers in the wiles of his native tongue: doubt, accusation, condemnation, shame, guilt, blame, sickness, and despair, in an attempt is to divide us from the truth. From the beginning of time the serpent has tried to cause doubt within the minds of mankind; especially, when it comes to their relationship with God.
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say…?” Genesis 3:1 NIV
YES! YES, HE DID!
God, our Heavenly Father, the King of kings, and Lord of all, has given us the authority over all the power and wiles of the enemy: doubt, accusation, condemnation, shame, guilt, blame, sickness, fear, and despair. Each and every diabolical scheme has been placed underneath our feet by the hand of God.
Be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
Romans 16:19b-20 NIV
To know Christ is to know triumph.
We have the victory in Christ Jesus over ALL the power of the enemy!
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4 ESV
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV
Yes, victory is our in Christ Jesus!
May we move in the victorious authority He has given us!
Prayer
Father,
As the battle rages, I thank You for the victory I hold in Christ Jesus.
Not only have You blessed me with life eternal, but victorious authority as well.
In the Name of Jesus, the enemy is silenced. Defeated by the cross.
In Jesus’ Name, I take captive the wiles of the adversary, commanding all doubt, accusation, condemnation, shame, guilt, blame, sickness, fear, and despair to bow in obedience to Christ. As I empty these thoughts from my mind, may Your glory fill me, partnered with faith, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, for such
is the kingdom of God.
Embolden me in Christ, that I may move forward confidently without doubt. Confident in the One who lives in me. For it is in Christ, I live, and move, and have my being.
May I persevere in the skirmishes, not doubting; especially, when I don’t see things change according to my timing. Remind me, in those moments, that the battle belongs to the Lord!
Truly, in the Name of Jesus, I hold victorious authority over the enemy.
It’s a given!
Amen
“ Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Nevertheless do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
Luke 10:19-20 Amplified Version
The Passion Translation Luke 10:18-20
When the seventy missionaries returned to Jesus, they were ecstatic with joy, telling him, “Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we commanded them in your name!”
Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightening to the ground. Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority. However, your real source of joy isn’t merely that these spirits submit to your authority, but that your names are written in the journals of heaven and that you belong to God’s kingdom.
This is the true source of your authority.”
P.S.
Maybe, your name hasn't been written yet in the journals of heaven?
Let today be the day!
Acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life.
Invite Him in to you heart as your Savior and Lord.
Dedicate your life to Him, today.
Be filled with His Holy Spirit and power.
May your latter days be empowered as you move in His victorious authority.
